Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born on December 2, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. As a youngster, Britney attended dance classes, and she was great in gymnastics. She won numerous contests and similar. Britney is a singer however, most importantly, she enjoyed dancing classes. At the age of 8, Britney tried out for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) however she was denied because of her age. Then, she was directed to "Ruthless" Off-Broadway production in which she played as the title persona for two years. She attempted to reprise her role for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) in this time playing an actual mouseketeer. In the late 90s, Britney signed with Jive Recording Artist. The debut album of Britney Spears, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as at July 2001) of her follow-up album "Oops !...I Do It Again" that was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears and Jamie Spears. She has one of her brothers Bryan Spears and a little sister Jamie Lynn Spears. From a young age, Britney was always fixing to become a famous singer with her idols including Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney was always singing, no matter what else was going on around her. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on television at the age of 8. But she was too young for the role. Britney relocated to New York with her mother and infant sibling. She appeared in a variety of TV ads and was the understudy of Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. She discovered her love for music and dance two years later when she was auditioning again for "Mickey Mouse", winning the part along with Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
