Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actor who is most well recognized for her appearances on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has shown her versatility in acting by giving outstanding performances in television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. Her first recognition came from her part as Anna in the film Assault on Precinct 13. Her performance in the biographical movie All the Way as the women's right advocate Fannie Lou Hammer attracted Hind to the notice of the public. Hind was recognized for her role as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the show for a 3rd season. In the last few days, Hind completed filming for the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters due for a release in mid-2019. His mother Krishnaraj is an Army scientist who died March 18 2017 and her mother Vrinda works as a homemaker. Aditya Rai, her elder brother is a marine merchant engineer. The brother of Bachchan wrote and produced Dil Ka Rishta, along with his mom. Arya Vidya Mandir was the high school where Bachchan attended after her family moved to Mumbai. She finished her secondary education with Jai Hind College for a period of time before enroling at D.G. Ruparel College in Matunga where she was awarded a 90% score in the H.S.C. exams. She was a classical music student and dance for 5 yrs through her teenage years. Her favorite subject was zoology. Bachchan was a student of architecture at the time when she was elected Miss World in 1994. She was catapulted into modeling's highest echelon after being awarded the title. It was lucrative for her to be employed by PepsiCo Inc. and Vogue magazine along with the opportunity to be a spokesmodel for L'Oreal Paris in 2003. In 1997, she starred in two highly-acclaimed roles: Iruvar and Aur pyaar ho gaya. The two films shattered the traditional form that was prevalent in Bollywood film at the time leading Bachchan to the forefront of Bollywood's New Bollywood. Bachchan became the Queen of Bollywood by her performance as Paro the deceived lover in Devdas, a film that was one of the Bollywood's greatest films. Also, it was the first Bollywood film that was screened at Cannes Film Festival. The following year she won high praise for her role of Chokher Bali (2003) which is a dramatic thriller based on Rabindranath Tagore's story. This year she was appointed as the first Indian actress on the Cannes Film Festival Jury. Bachchan was on screen in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice a musical and dance version to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. The beauty and star power of Bachchan made her the perfect choice for the first major English-language film. Bachchan returned to Bollywood for the smash Dhoom: 2 (2006) before releasing Provoked: A True Story (2006) in English. She was married in April 2007 to Abhishek Bachchan, a regular co-star and the father of Bollywood famous Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that brought two of the country's most famous personalities.
