Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actor who is most well recognized for her appearances on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut in 2003, she has shown her versatility in acting by giving outstanding performances in television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. Her first recognition came from her part as Anna in the film Assault on Precinct 13. Her performance in the biographical movie All the Way as the women's right advocate Fannie Lou Hammer attracted Hind to the notice of the public. Hind was recognized for her role as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the show for a 3rd season. In the last few days, Hind completed filming for the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters due for a release in mid-2019.
