Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

 Deborah Rhea Seehorn (born May 12 1972) is an American actress. She is well-known for her character as attorney Kim Wexler on AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018), for which she has been awarded the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series, Miniseries, or Television Film. The show also starred her in the NBC miniseries Whitney (2011)-2013 and ABC's I'm with Her(2003)-2004 and TNT's Franklin & Bash (2011)-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn was conceived in Norfolk, Virginia on May 12, 1972. Her mother was an executive assistant in the United States Navy, and her father was an agent in the Naval Investigative Service. She was raised in a family which moved frequently, including in Washington, D.C., Arizona, and Japan. Since the age of a child she was influenced by her grandparent and grandmother to pursue a career in drawing, painting and architecture. As she pursued her love of the visual arts, she discovered a passion for acting. She was also introduced to modern theater in college. In 1994, she graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art. In college, Seehorn was looking to get into theater, after being encouraged by her acting instructor. She held a variety of ancillary roles within the industry of theater in D.C. to try to be noticed. She was able to secure several important parts in local theatre productions. However, she had to work odd jobs to survive. To pay for the expenses she took on the roles of short industrial instructional films. In the next few years, she was able to get parts in television productions. She often played roles that were "very wry and sarcastic" similar to her role model Bea Arthur. These roles were usually cancelled after just one or two seasons. In May 2014, Seehorn was cast in the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler (a lawyer) and is the love interest for Saul Goodman, the aforementioned Jimmy McGill.
