Emma Stone

Emily Jean "Emma" Stone was born on the 6th of November in 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Krista Jean Stone (nee Yeager), a homemaker & Jeffrey Charles "Jeff" Stone, a founder of a contracting firm and CEO. She has Swedish and British Isles origins. Stone began acting when she was a young participant in the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in an adaptation of Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows". As a teenager Stone was part of numerous productions until she decided to pursue acting as a profession. Officially, she created a PowerPoint presentation, which was backed by Madonna's "Hollywood" and titled "Project Hollywood", to convince her parents to allow her go to school and relocate to Los Angeles. After the presentation was accepted, the couple moved to LA. She continued to study at home and was able to audition. She made her TV breakthrough when she won the part of Laurie Partridge in the VH1 reality show based on a talent show In Search of the Partridge Family (2004) that was followed by a string of smaller TV parts in the subsequent years. Her movie debut was as Jules in Superbad (2007) and, after a string of impressive performances, her lead part in the film Olive in Easy A (2010) established her as a major star. She attended Xavier College Preparatory, Phoenix, Arizona. While she's referred to as an redhead, her true hair shade is blonde. Judd Apatow was the one who suggested that she change her natural hair shade to Superbad (2007). The movie was so popular that she chose to keep. At age 15, she persuaded her parents to let her to go to Hollywood by presenting the PowerPoint presentation appropriately titled Project Hollywood. Her first experience in acting at the age of 11 age in the Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix, AZ, where she was a part of more than 16 stage productions and also performing in the theatre's comedy-improv troupe. Caylee Cowan also appeared at the Valley Youth Theatre.
