Lil Tecca

Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe, born August 26, 2002, is a popular American musician and singer. The release of "Ransom," his 2019 single, allowed him to become a popular star. His mixtape debut We Love You Tecca (2019), featured the single. It reached 4 on the US Billboard 200. It also contained the singles Love Me and Did It Again. The album he released as his debut studio album titled Virgo (2020), debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200. It also included the Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "Dolly" and "When You Down". The mixtape that he followed up with We Love You Tecca 2 was released in August 2021. It included the songs "Repeat It", "Lot of Me" as well as others. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on August 26, 2002 in the Queens neighborhood in New York City to Jamaican immigrants. Sharpe was born in Queens' Springfield Gardens, after which he moved to Cedarhurst on Long Island. From a young age, Sharpe had aspirations of being a player in the NBA however, at 12 years old, he turned his attention to pursue a career in music. He attended Lawrence High School. Tecca aged nine at the at the time, was rapping with his friends with his Xbox to record. They would make diss tracks directed at each other and one was uploaded to SoundCloud some time ago, but was removed. At first, he didn't have plans to begin music and instead wanted to be an NBA star. As he entered middle school, however, he began to lose interest in basketball and began taking music seriously. The first track that gained some recognition, "Tectri", was composed in collaboration with his friend, Lil Gummybear, and was released in early 2017. Some of the tracks he was working on include "Callin". The following year his career was beginning to take off with his breakout hit single "Ransom", which was first uploaded to Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22, 2019. It peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and has been played over 900 million times on Spotify and more than 300 million times on YouTube.
